Frequently Asked Questions about the ADN Program
Where is the ADN program offered?
The Traditional RN program is only offered on the Waxahachie campus. The LVN-RN Bridge program is offered on Navarro College-Waxahachie and Navarro College-Corsicana locations.
How can I take the TEAS entrance test?
Call the Navarro College Testing Center at (903) 875-7457 or (972) 923-6429. You can also go to http://www.atitesting.com or any official testing center.
May I apply before taking all the prerequisities?
No. All pre-requisities must be completed before submitting application.
How many points do I need to be admitted to the ADN program?
The majority of ranking points are earned from the Total TEAS Score. The ADN Ranking Point system will be discussed in detail during the virtual information session, available after September 1st.
Is there an expiration date on my science courses?
2025 applicants must have completed BIOL 2401 and BIOL 2402 no earlier than Spring of 2018. Students who have completed BIOL 2401 and/or BIOL 2402 more than seven (7) years ago and scored a C or better, can take BIOL 2404 as a refresher course.
Can I still work while attending the program?
It is not recommended that students work while attending the ADN Program. The schedule often requires students to attend class and/or clinical rotations throughout the week. Clinical rotations may also be scheduled on weekends, nights, and/or weekends.
Is the program offered online?
No. The Navarro College ADN program is a pre-licensure RN program, therefore students are required to have face-to-face learning activities throughout the week. While some courses are delivered in a hybrid/online format, the majority are delivered face-to-face.
